IN MEMORIAM
PETER ‘PIP’ BORRMAN
27 July, 1954 – 25 February, 2009

It is with great sadness that today we said good bye to a member of the Castrol Aviator family. On Wednesday 25th February Peter ‘Pip’ Borrman died while practicing his aerobatic routine for the upcoming Australian International Airshow at Avalon.

Pip joined the Castrol Aviator family in 2004 as our spokesperson for Castrol Aviator range of piston engine oils in Australia. During his time with us he became the very public face of the Aviator brand appearing at airshows, motorsport and charity events across Australia.

Pip came from an aviation family. His father, a pilot, began teaching Pip to fly at the age of nine. He had over 5,300 hours of flight time.

Pip will be remembered by most for his skillful aerial displays. He was a dedicated aviator and was highly regarded within the aviation community for his professionalism and commitment to safety.

Our thoughts are with Pip’s family, wife Janet, son Edwin and daughter Sarah.

From the time Castrol was founded in 1889 by innovator Charles Cheers Wakefield, our aim was to produce the highest-quality engine oils, tested to the limits of endurance. Because our greatest concern has always been meeting and exceeding your demands, each of Castrol's aircraft engine oils is tried and tested by the pioneering aviators of our time.

This philosophy remains as successful and as relevant to us at Castrol today as it was then. Our goal is to produce products that are the best in class--our goal is your complete satisfaction. But don't take our word for it. See for yourself!

"It is my belief that
this product has reduced labour costs and created a safer environment for engines to run."
